Rustic Shropshire Wedding

This is a shoot I’d thought about for soooo long but due to COVID restrictions I wasn’t able to start planning properly until March! My vision came to together pretty quick though, Tuesday 6th April 2021 was the date it all came to life when I think we experienced every season in the weather! We had sun, snow, wind, bits of sleet thrown in too! Our model couple Joanna and Kieran were absolute troopers though!

I wanted a rustic barn type setting so after a few internet searches I came across Stanford Farm in Shrewsbury! The venue has a perfect mix of rustic buildings in a countryside setting as well as a lovely homely feeling as well. Cindy from Stanford Farm could not have been more accommodating either so if you’re looking for a rustic Wedding venue you definitely need to see this place!

As I started with the barn theme I thought it appropriate to include some pampas, I’m absolutely in love with stuff and its on trend at the moment for sure, however I wanted some flashes of colour to bring it to life too. One of the suppliers I invited to the shoot - iddybiddy Photo Booth (who I would 100% recommend by the way) have a powder/pale blue theme on their retro (iddybiddy) campervan which hit me like a lightbulb and so I then set about including these flashes of blue throughout the whole shoot, from the Wedding arch to the Moongate, and table setting (all by Uplit Events Flic brought this to reality beautifully!) also some blue and purple flashes in the bouquet as well (by Pont Y Twr who is also amazing!).

Rock the Frock Cheshire who provided the bridal outfit and hair accessories added some purple ombre in the skirt (by Lucy Cant Dance) and blue in hair accessories (by glorious by heidi) literally could not have been happier with this bridal look, Joanna our model looked simply stunning.

I do love a down hair do for Brides which i have included in past shoots however, I think a curly up do can look perfect for this rustic look I aimed for, Hair by Rosie took this task on solidly, Perfection by Victoria completed the look with a subtle and natural makeup look using nudes and browns.

Kieran our super cool Groom model had an outfit of a dark brown tweed waistcoat with flashes of blue within it, teamed with pale trousers and tie from internet orders including ASOS and Etsy.

Finally I must not forget to mention Mathew Lloyd Videography who joined me on the shoot adding his personal touches, he’s such a talent and definitely has the sense of humour to go with it.

Please enjoy some of my favourite images from this shoot.
