An Intimate Black Tie Wedding at Casterton Grange | Annabel & Tom
Set in the stunning countryside, Casterton Grange provided the most beautiful backdrop for their August wedding, with just 44 of their closest family and friends in attendance. Every detail felt considered, personal and effortlessly elegant, from the full black-tie dress code to the relaxed, joyful atmosphere that carried through the entire day.
Annabel looked incredible in a timeless gown with modern off-the-shoulder sleeves, while Tom and the guests fully embraced the black-tie brief, creating such a stylish and cohesive look throughout the photographs. It was one of those weddings where everything simply worked, elegant without feeling stiff, emotional without being overwhelming.
One of the loveliest parts of the day was how personal it felt. Their son Artie played a special role, and their long-haired dachshund Norman was very much part of the celebrations too, something I always love to see. Including your children (and dogs!) in your wedding day just adds another layer of meaning, and it made their gallery feel even more authentic to who they are as a family.
The ceremony was followed by a champagne tower moment, always a favourite, and live music from a string quartet, which added such a romantic and refined feel to the drinks reception. The sound of strings drifting through the grounds at Casterton Grange was just beautiful and really set the tone for the rest of the day.
Speeches were one of the most emotional highlights, taking place both before and after the wedding breakfast. There was so much warmth, laughter and genuine feeling in the words shared, the kind of moments that remind me why candid, documentary-style photography matters so much. These are the memories you want captured naturally, without interruption.
As the evening continued, the celebrations flowed into live music with a singer, saxophonist and DJ, ready to kick off the party atmosphere. Even before the dancefloor properly filled, the energy was already there, relaxed, joyful and full of love.
Annabel and Tom’s wedding was elegant, intimate and deeply personal, proof that a smaller guest list can still deliver a day that feels incredibly special. Casterton Grange was the perfect setting for their vision, and it was an absolute pleasure to document such a heartfelt celebration.
